Christianity is Wackier than Scientology

I am not trying to defend Scientology in today’s blog, but I do think that Scientology performs a valuable service to our society for the moment.

Now, I know what you are thinking, “what the hell can Scientology offer the rational world?” Well, I think it helps us to compare it to Christianity. In my view Christianity is far more unbelievable and far more dangerous than Scientology and it helps to bring people of the Christian faith to reason when you can compare the beliefs of the Christian religion to a religion which most people (especially Christians) view as clearly wacky and show very simply which is actually wackier.

Let’s look at Scientology a little bit.

One of the more wacky aspects of Scientology is that of Xenu who is an evil alien dictator of the Galactic Confederacy who threw humans into a volcano and then nuked it 75 millions of years ago. Here is the funny thing about this story. As bizarre as it is, every part of it is possible.

What I mean by that is that nothing about this story violates any of the laws of physics as we know them nor does this story contain magic of any kind or anything necessarily supernatural. This story as unlikely as it is and as fanciful as it is, is entirely contained within the natural world and our laws of physics. Even the Scientology idea that humans can learn how to use superpowers isn’t necessarily supernatural. In fact, the only thing in the Scientology story, which MAY even come close to supernatural, would be the idea of Thetans and even that idea really makes more sense than the Christian concept of the soul.

Speaking of which, let’s look at the bizarre story of Christianity. The basic Story of Christianity (because all Christians are different of course) is the story of the God Yahweh and his son Jesus. Right from the start, this story is already wackier than Scientology. A deity is much more unbelievable than an alien dictator. We live in a vast universe in which it is probable that other life could certainly exist and so it is possible for that life to be intelligent and to form Confederations and such. But a deity isn’t an alien life form, it is a supernatural being capable of violating the laws of physics.

The Christian deity in particular is said to do exactly that in the form of miracles, which are impossible under the natural laws of physics. But the Christian story gets crazier when we bring Jesus into it. To the vast majority of Christians, Jesus is not just a half man/half god, but he is 100 percent man and 100 percent god. This of course makes Jesus 200%. Now I’m no math genius, but that doesn’t exactly make logical sense, but it does make supernatural sense and that is the point. This man/god died and bodily came back to life so that everyone on earth could somehow be forgiven for all the sins against the deity (Enter the concept of blood sacrifice).

This story is dripping with supernatural events and the bending and even the breaking of the laws of physics not just in small ways, but in really, really large ways. This story simply put, is just impossible (as in not possible by the laws of physics which make up this Universe). This story is not just impossible, but it is also illogical and quite frankly beyond reason.

So which of these stories is really the wackier story? Scientology, which reads like bad science fiction, is still completely possible given what we know about the natural world or Christianity, which reads like bronze aged fiction full of supernatural events and characters which defy the laws of nature, logic, and even reason itself?

  1. I asked a high ranking ex Scientology official, who spent a good amount of face time with Hubbard, in their opinion, would Hubbard have made the Xenu story public. His answer was yes. But Hubbard died before this whole new wave of widespread public dissemination of the Hubbard ideas about Xenu and “body thetans.“

I myself have begun review of Hubbard’s “Whole Track” lecture series, 8 lectures, where Hubbard clearly himself, in earlier years, meaning up until 1963, was boldly open about his personal beliefs in UFOs and our past lives in long ago ancient space civilizations, and this man’s opinion who knew Hubbard fairly well, both from Hubbard’s writings and personally, said he felt Hubbard would have changed church policy and lightened up the PENALTIES that the members suffer today for revealing and discussing openly the Xenu and body thetans ideas publicly.

The problem facing the official Scientology movement is they are stuck with Scientology’s/Hubbard’s severe penalty rules that utterly condemn them for discussing Xenu or “body thetans” publicly. Hubbard labels discussion or revealing the Xenu story or “body thetans” theory discussion as excommunicateable offenses. THAT is the problem.

Today, the world knows and is free to discuss Xenu, we even out here have Hubbard’s own lecture from the famous Class 8 spiritual therapist training course (the Class 8 tape entitled “Assists” of 1968), where Hubbard boldly reveals to the Class 8 therapists in training, the Xenu holocaust on earth 75 million years ago, that resulted in the massive surplus of extra bodiless souls (“body thetans”) that roam earth today and infest all of us supposedly in vast quantities. It takes years for Scientologists to reach Class 8 spiritual therapist status, and only a tiny fraction of the Scientologists in the world EVER hear this lecture. Only those that break the Hubbard rules and listen to this lecture on the internet, will over 95 percent of the official Scientologists EVER get to listen to Hubbard tell the Xenu story in Hubbard’s own words!!!

Hubbard died before making a change in his penalty rules.

This problem Scientologists face, the world knows about Xenu and “body thetans” but the Scientologists are heavily penalized for talking about it, is Hubbard’s lack of foresight of what his rules would lead to.

The movement is stuck with Hubbard’s penalty rules.

There is no detailed research by anyone, neither on the Scientology side, because Hubbard shunned all internal honest research and history writing beyond hagiography, and there is NO outside legitimate university research keeping up with all the leaked confidential Hubbard writings.

On Wikileaks are some amazing Hubbard writings, and not a single paper in scholarly new religious journals nor cult journals on the Class 8 writings, which are leaked on Wikileaks, nor on the Office of Special Affairs Hubbard writings, on Wikileaks.

There is NO research on these two very important bodies of the Hubbard cannon of writings that directly bear on WHY Scientology acts publicly like it does, and WHY the problems for this new religion are self-generated.

We need MORE research into simply Hubbard’s own writings, into his own lectures and writings, which ARE leaked into the public domain.

No interest, not yet, at least.

Hubbard wrote rules protecting his image, and those rules have shackled Scientologists from thinking their way around the problems of Hubbard’s penalty rules.

The world knows Hubbard believed that UFOs and ancient space civilizations were real. He boldly writes and lectures his ideas are reality. Snippets of all the evidence are on the internet, in Hubbard’s own bold upfront voice.

Xenu is not Hubbard’s Scienotlogy “mythology”, Hubbard believes it is reality, and all “upper level” Scientologists know it is reality, or so they are led to “know” it is real. Some scholars have pushed that Xenu is Scientology’s mythology. It is not. Hubbard didn’t for one second think Xenu and “body thetans” are mythology. Hubbard thought Xenu and “body thetans” are absolutely real.

Scientology research requires cross discipline trained academics, cult/psych trained academics and new religious movement trained and history trained, and sociology trained.

Scientology is a therapy cult, a science fiction therapy cult.

The top spiritual steps of Scientology, the levels OT 3, 4, 5 6 and 7, all deal with the removal of our individual loads of our hitchhiking “body thetans” which are the dead bodiless and amnesia tranced souls from the humanoids that ancient leader Xenu had brought to earth, and earth was the killing field for massive extermination, and then science fictionesque brainwashing implanting of false ideas into those dead souls (the “body thetans”) and those souls roam earth, ever since that nuclear firestorm incident 75 million years ago, which Hubbard calls the “Wall of Fire” incident, due to the tremendous nuclear firestorm that swept earth following the nuclear bomb detonations that happened near about a dozen earth volcanoes back then.

Scientology is a therapy new religion.

And the “upper” therapy is confidential only internally.

Out here, we know and can speak without penalty about the “upper level” spiritual therapy practice of Scientology.

Those inside the Scientology movement are simply stuck with dead Hubbard’s penalty rules.

And it is the extensive intricate interlocking web of penalty rules that make the members act like a cult.

There is no scholarly academic book yet published on the full extent of the Hubbard intricate web of cult causing penalty rules.

There is a huge amount of Hubbard writings to paw through.

The Wikileaks site has two large NEW parts of the Hubbard cannon of works, and no scholars taking up the research of those relatively freshly leaked writings (namely the Class 8 course Hubbard materials, and the Office of Special Affairs Hubbard training materials).

  2. Now let’s take a look at what they do to their current membership.
Scientology tries to take control of Scientologists (disconnection among other things). That alone separates the two completely.
Scientology is completely dependent on functioning like a business. Christianity exists on actual donations not “donations” for services that have an exact value (IE a business).

  3. Thank you Chuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Just passing by.Btw, your website have great content!

  6. The followers of L. Ron Hubbard should all know he was a science fiction writer when he wrote the story of . The real problem is with the Christians. They actually believe all their crazy stories.
Seems a bit weird to me that the people who DON’T BELIEVE in virgin mothers and pray to invisible beings are thought of as nuts, in this world. With Xenu’s help I hope we’ll be able to save all those lost souls.
